Hailed by Down Beat magazine as "the most exciting and original jazz plucker to emerge in the last decade," here's a more relaxed, more spacious, cooler feel for Joe Morris in his reconfigured quartet featuring violinist Mat Maneri, bassist Chris Lightcap, and newcomer drummer Gerald Cleaver (from Roscoe Mitchell's Note Factory).  Fortified by influences as disparate as Lightning Hopkins, Foday Suso, and Cecil Taylor, the original set twists, turns, interlocks, and overlaps under and through, sort of, Underthru.
